Sandra Marra Barile Jackson’s maternal grandparents and paternal grandparents were from San Giovanni in Fiore, Cosenza, Italy. She is a retired school teacher married to Bill Jackson and has one son, Kenney. Her poem JESUS'S TEARS won Honorable mention in a Poetry Contest, while her short story THE LILAC PAINTING won in a writing contest, and THE WEEPING WILLOW won honorable mention in the 71st Annual Writer’s Digest Writing competition. She loves to read, walk, ride a bike, write stories and bake cookies, and most of all she loves her dog Roxy.
